Just like Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 8 has eight cups to play through, 30 playable characters, tons of vehicle customization options, two new grand engine classes in the Grand Prix mode, and much more.
There were a few new features added to Mario Kart 8. One of the best ones is the anti-gravity feature. When driving on certain bits of the race track, the player will be able to drive upside down on ceilings, or sideways on walls. This also allows players that bump into each other, to achieve a Spin Boost. Some other features from Mario Kart 7 were carried over to the new game as well. The gliding feature and attachment to karts allows players to continue to fly over the courses, and the racers can still travel underwater on the course.
